I’ve been less active than I’d like on here recently… partly because we took two long weekends in May/June to enjoy our first camping trips of 2023!
Our camping trips away were really revitalising – I feel a bit like a reset button got pressed with them. We hadn’t been camping since mid-September last year, and I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed it. It’s just the BEST way to have a slower pace of being and family time.
For our first camp of 2023, we found an isolated spot on level 3 at Coco’s Wild Camp in Wales. This is our campsite of choice as it’s huge, absolutely beautiful & only an hour from home.
The big yellow arrow is pointed at our tent as caught by a drone.

Camp 2 was the following weekend, back at Cocos, but this time in our usual spot on level 2.

I’m already really looking forward to our next trip! Sadly, we can’t go this weekend, as we have something rather enormous planned (more about that later!) so hopefully the weather will be good for the following weekend & we can get a quick getaway in!
If anyone knows any good camp sites that accept families of over 6 people, please let me know. We don’t need drinking water, loos, electricity etc – but so many campsites don’t accept families of more than six people unless you book two pitches – which is just hideously expensive! We absolutely love the couple of campsites which we know, but would love to discover some new ones too!
